Welcome to Accept, Adapt, and Love!
We are Laura and Beth, co-owners at Accept, Adapt, and Love! We met in 2003 while co-teaching at an approved private school for children with special needs. We both have a passion for working alongside families to help their children with special needs to increase functional communication skills, decrease behaviors of concern, increase independence, all while making learning fun and engaging.
With years of experience in various educational, clinical, and community settings, we are excited to launch Accept, Adapt, and Love! Our hope and dream is to continue to support families that have been impacted by disability.
Currently, our first initiative is to launch a subscription box designed for children with disabilities and/or those who require more visual supports to engage in hands-on learning opportunities. In researching current subscription boxes for children, most have limited visual supports to aide in comprehesion and provide repeated repetition and practice. It is our hope that we can help fill this void and allow parents, caregivers, and siblings to have an easy to follow monthly subscription box shipped right to your door.
A few other initiatives that we hope to launch in the upcoming months, will include podcasts in which you can learn and hear from others while they tell their own story! Connection and community are such an important component when raising children with special needs! In addition, the impact of disability effects all, including siblings. We hope to connect all members of the family on a deeper level and have our content and products allow everyone to participate.
We want to be a part of YOUR VILLAGE! In addition, we hope to provide consultation services for those seeking a deeper understanding of how to meet their children's needs and wrap around the entire family.
